Astana. April 12. Kazakhstan Today - Today the President of Kazakhstan Nursultan Nazarbayev held a meeting with the President of the Kyrgyz Republic Almazbek Atambayev, who arrived in Astana with a working visit, Kazakhstan Today report.
"During the meeting they discussed the state and prospects of development of bilateral relations in various fields of cooperation, in particular, the specific activities of the Kazakh-Kyrgyz investment fund," the Presidential press service informed on Thursday.
The parties also discussed the situation in the region, the integration processes in the Eurasian region, as well as the upcoming summit of the SCO in Bishkek.
Nursultan Nazarbayev noted the need for such meetings.
"We wish prosperity brotherly Kyrgyz people. I support the work done by you. Today the country has a stable situation, we are interested in steadily evolving of the Kyrgyz economy. From our side, we will do all that is necessary to further strengthen our cooperation," said the head State.
In his turn, the President of the Kyrgyz Republic expressed his gratitude for the warm welcome. He noted that the meeting provides an opportunity to exchange views on a number of topical issues. A. Atambayev also said that today Kazakhstan is the fastest growing state in the region and his expertise in the field of economic change is important for the Kyrgyz Republic.
