Discussion on Central Asian hydroeconomic policy to take place in Tashkent

Astana. February 14. Kazakhstan Today - The meeting of interagency national groups of Central Asian countries, dedicated to the discussion on regional hydroeconomic policy in Syr-Darya and Amu-Darya river basins is due to take place on February 14-15 in Tashkent, the official spokesman of Kazakhstan Ministry of Foreign Affairs Yerzhan Ashykbayev said at a briefing on Monday in Astana, the agency correspondent informs.

According to Y. Ashykbayev, the meeting will be organized by Scientifically informational center of Interstate coordination hydroeconomic commission within the limits of Asian Development Bank (ADB) project "Perfection of Central Asian joint water resources management".

"The parties plan to discuss regional water agreement projects, including the project on joint utilization of hydro-energetic resources of Syr-Darya during this meeting," the representative of Ministry of Foreign Affairs has explained.
