Astana. January 10. Kazakhstan Today - Four world level colleges to be built in Kazakhstan, Kazakhstan Today reports.

In 2011, the Government of Kazakhstan began implementation of the State Program of Education Development aimed to lay a foundation for social modernization. The vocational and technical education system is currently undergoing modernization based on the requirements of the country's industrialization within this Program, PM.kz site has learnt from the Ministry of Education and Science.

As earlier reported, "Kasipkor" holding was established in Kazakhstan in June 2011 in order to develop vocational and technical education. Four world level colleges are planned to be built in Astana, Almaty, Aktobe and Shymkent on the basis of the holding. In accordance with the Education Ministry, schools of engineering, architecture and construction, information and communication technologies, design, agro-industrial complex, metallurgy and mechanical engineering as well as the crafts school will be opened in the colleges.

Totally, 15 thousand people from 16 regions of the country are planned to be embraced with training in 90 specialities which are in demand at the labor market and State Program of Forced Industrial-Innovative Development.

Besides, the construction of the Interregional Professional Center for training and retraining of technical service personnel for oil and gas sector in Atyrau is to be completed this year. The construction of the Interregional Professional Centers for training and retraining of technical service personnel for energy sector in Ekibastuz and engineering sector in Ust-Kamenogorsk is underway. Construction of the Interregional Professional Centers for processing industry was started in November 2011 in Shymkent.
